5 Foods that Combat Stress

Happy first day of March Dream Team! As we wrote yesterday, we will focus in on taking back control of your life, fulfilling your destiny and seeking the silver lining in all situations. 
With that being said today’s nutrition post, we want to share with you 5 foods that will help you fight off stress. What better way to take control than eating well and combatting a little stress? We have sifted through our research and found foods that compliment the entire family! 

Spinach

This super food is packed with rich vitamins and nutrients including omega-3 and antioxidants. Although any green leafy veggies are a great stress fighter, spinach takes the win.

Nuts

If you are able to consume nuts for lack of an allergy, this is a great resource to fight stress as nuts help your body regulate and maintain blood sugar. Additionally nuts have Vitamin B, giving your body the energy and fuel to do the things you love.

Meats

Aside from meats good source of protein, they also assist in healthy brain function with their plentiful amounts of amino acids.

Dark Chocolate

How great is this? This delicious treat can actually provide you with a multitude of health benefits and when consumed in small portions daily is shown to help with:regulating cholesterol, heart health, pain, depression, skin health and so on! 

Fish Oil 

Last and certainly not least, the fatty acids found within fish oil assist with increasing Serotonin levels which is the natural chemical in our brain that promotes happiness and euphoria.
